Liz's background

Liz Forrester has been riding since before she could walk, horses have always been a huge passion of Liz's with her Mum having ridden also.
Liz started to compete at local shows from a very young age and always knew she wanted to be a professional show jumper and have a career with horses.

Even from a young age Liz has been producing her own ponies through the grades having several young, naughty ponies who nobody else wanted to ride. This has stood Liz in good stead over the years and given her a huge amount of experience in dealing with all sorts of horses, showing her the true meaning of horsemanship.

Whilst at school Liz had to juggle having several horses whilst completing GCSEs and A-levels then a university degree. This isn't always easy but for Liz she knew it was what she wanted to do and she managed to successfully compete several horses whilst producing other behind the scenes throughout the years.

Liz competed ponies at the top level in JA classes whilst competing horses alongside to make the transition into the senior classes easier. Throughout the years Liz has contested U16, U18 and U23 young rider classes with much success in these hotly contested classes. And now competes regularly in Grand Prix and world ranking classes across Europe . Liz has also qualified and competed at the prestigious Horse Of The Year show for the past few years . Liz has had several horses selected onto the World Class Equine Pathway which identifies potential World, European & Olympic medal winning horses, this is a huge achievement and testament to Liz's hard work with the young horses both on the ground and ridden.

While Liz was still at university she made the big move to her own yard at Forrester's Lodge. It has been hard work to get to where we are now as there weren't any stables or electricity there when we moved in so we managed with a temporary yard for a while whilst we built the new stable block. The yard is purpose built and is everything Liz has dreamed about, she is passionate about her horses and you can be guaranteed all horses will be cared for to the highest standard as if they were her own.

Liz now competes across the country from young horse classes up to Grand Prix and is constantly producing up and coming young horses as well as schooling and breaking in horses for owners which is something she enjoys greatly. Liz also fits teaching into her schedule and is available for lessons at her yard or will travel to other locations.
